Western Hockey League (WHL): Comprises teams from western Canada and the northwestern United States.
Ontario Hockey League (OHL): Comprises teams based in Ontario and some American states.
Quebec Major Junior Hockey League (QMJHL): Comprises teams from Quebec and Atlantic Canada.

The MJAHL consists of 12 teams based in the Atlantic provinces of Canada: Nova Scotia, New Brunswick and Prince Edward Island.

Manitoba Junior Hockey League (MJHL)

Northern Ontario Junior Hockey League (NOJHL). The league was founded in 1962 and has continued to grow since then, providing young players with a solid foundation to develop. Over the decades, the NOJHL has developed players who have gone on to play in the NCAA, OHL (Ontario Hockey League), professional leagues in Europe and the NHL.

Saskatchewan Junior Hockey League (SJHL). The LEAGUE is a Junior A league, meaning it has a high level of competition and competitiveness comparable to other major Canadian junior leagues such as the AJHL or BCHL.

The Greater Metro Junior A Hockey League (GMHL) is an independent junior hockey league based in Canada.
The league was founded in 2006 and has since established itself as an attractive alternative to traditional junior leagues, offering players the opportunity to continue developing at a high level from the ages of 16 to 21.
League Features
The GMHL is different from most other junior leagues in that it is independent. This means that the league is not governed by Hockey Canada. However, it still attracts the attention of NCAA scouts. As an independent league, the GMHL offers a lot of flexibility in terms of player registration and league participation. It is open to players who are not affiliated with Hockey Canada programs.
